Job Description

Looking for your next estimating seat? A structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator and erector serving the East Bay and Northern California wants an Estimator who can price jobs end to end, covering both fabrication and erection on light commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Day to day:

• Produce quantity takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel
• Dig into plans and specs to flag scope gaps and exclusions and propose value engineering
• Solicit and evaluate detailing, erection, coatings, and freight quotes
• Assemble competitive bids and proposals
• Coordinate constructability and project handoff with project managers, the shop, and field crews

Background:

• Experience estimating steel fabrication and erection
• Strong command of blueprints
• Understanding of structural and miscellaneous metals packages
• Nice to have: Tekla EPM, SDS2, or a comparable platform
