We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and empathetic Employment Law Associate with 2 to 8 years of experience. In this role, you will act as a primary strategic partner for both public and private sector clients, managing a diverse caseload with a high degree of professional autonomy.
Provide proactive legal advice on wage-and-hour compliance, leaves of absence (FMLA/CFRA), and employee discipline.
Conduct high-level, independent workplace investigations into sensitive employment matters.
Defend clients against FEHA/Title VII claims and represent entities in administrative and regulatory hearings.
Create, refine, and update complex employment agreements, comprehensive employee handbooks, and specialized agency policies.
Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
2–8 years of dedicated employment law experience.
Prior experience navigating the California Government Code, PERB, or the Brown Act is highly desirable and will fast-track your application.
A counselor-focused approach with the ability to translate complex labor statutes into clear, actionable advice for agency leaders and business owners.
Proven ability to manage case files and deadlines independently, whether working remotely or in a hybrid structure.
