Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial flooring projects.
- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Manage awarded projects from turnover through closeout.
- Coordinate material procurement, scheduling, labor, and subcontractors.
- Maintain project budgets, schedules, and documentation.
- Work closely with general contractors, owners, architects, installers, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, closeout documents, and project billing.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to project execution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial flooring estimating and/or project management experience required.
- Strong understanding of commercial flooring products, installation methods, specifications, and construction practices.
- Experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and prepare competitive project estimates.
- Proven experience managing commercial flooring projects from award through completion.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and project management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining long-term client relationships.
