We are partnering with a growing electrical contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical electrical construction projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical estimating, understands current construction practices, and is proficient with modern estimating software and digital takeoff platforms. Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects.
Perform digital quantity takeoffs, material counts, labor calculations, and equipment pricing.
Review blueprints, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to determine project scope.
Utilize modern electrical estimating software and digital takeoff tools to develop accurate bids.
Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Develop labor units, material budgets, and project cost breakdowns.
Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, general contractors, and vendors.
Prepare bid proposals, scope clarifications, and detailed cost summaries.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and turnover meetings.
3+ years of electrical estimating experience preferred.
Strong understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with digital takeoffs and modern estimating software.
Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor units, installation methods, and project costs.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet strict bid deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction technology platforms.
