Associate Attorney – Business Litigation – San Diego, CA

A premier boutique litigation firm is seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing San Diego office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for sophisticated litigation work, strong mentorship, and a clear path for advancement. The firm offers a collaborative environment, reasonable billable expectations, and a diverse litigation practice spanning multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters through all phases of the case
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
• Handle client communications and assist with case strategy
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Work closely with partners on complex litigation matters

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Strong foundation in California civil procedure
• Ability to independently handle pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and case management
• Defense experience preferred, but plaintiff-side attorneys will be considered
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
