Insurance Defense Associate (1–2 Years) – San Diego, CA

National law firm is seeking a junior Insurance Defense Associate to join its San Diego office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience in a supportive, high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in handling insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Support discovery efforts, including drafting and responding to written discovery
• Conduct legal research and assist with motion practice
• Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
• Active California Bar membership required
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $140,000 – $160,000
• Bonus potential
