Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mission-critical data center construction projects. This role is responsible for managing all phases of construction—from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout—while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle management of data center construction projects (ground-up and/or retrofit)
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
  • Oversee preconstruction activities including estimating, buyout, and subcontractor procurement
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and execution
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Monitor project progress and proactively mitigate risks and delays
  • Lead regular project meetings, reporting on schedule, budget, and key milestones
  • Oversee commissioning processes, including MEP systems (electrical, mechanical, cooling infrastructure)
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to contract documents and specifications
  • Manage client relationships and provide consistent communication throughout project lifecycle

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–10+ years of construction project management experience, with data center or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, especially electrical infrastructure (UPS, generators, switchgear)
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects ($10M–$200M+)
  • Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or MS Project
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and cost control
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hyperscale data center projects (AWS, Google, Microsoft environments)
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and Tier standards (Uptime Institute)
  • LEED accreditation or sustainability experience
  • Experience working with General Contractors or Owner’s Rep firms
