Our client is seeking a mid-level Staff Geologist to join their Bay Area team. This full-time role is a mix of field and office work, with a strong focus on field investigations, data evaluation, and reporting. The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn. Travel may be required, up to 20%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental site investigations, groundwater monitoring, and soil/groundwater sampling.
- Assess and characterize sites, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Manage data collection, statistical analysis, and technical report preparation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and respond to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records and provide periodic project updates.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of relevant environmental consulting or geology experience.
- Strong knowledge of site assessments, groundwater studies, and data evaluation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while handling multiple projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel within California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho as needed.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree is a plus.
- LG or RG preferred, or the ability to acquire GIT within two years of employment.
