Our client, an established California-based law firm, is seeking a Mid-Level/Senior Litigation Associate with 6–7 years of meaningful civil litigation experience to join its thriving litigation practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated litigation work, increased responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators on a diverse range of complex disputes.

The litigation team represents clients in a broad spectrum of matters, including complex commercial litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, trust and estate litigation, contract disputes, intellectual property matters, and other sophisticated business conflicts.

What You'll Do

Manage a variety of complex litigation matters through all stages of the litigation process

Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other substantive legal filings

Conduct and defend depositions

Draft and respond to written discovery and manage discovery strategy

Develop case strategy and work closely with clients on litigation objectives

Prepare cases for trial, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution proceedings

Manage litigation deadlines, case schedules, and procedural requirements

Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on complex legal issues

Collaborate with partners and clients on sophisticated business disputes

Qualifications

6–7 years of meaningful civil litigation experience

Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials

Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Experience with depositions required

Experience arguing motions, pre-trial preparation, trials, arbitrations, and mediations is highly preferred

Ability to independently manage litigation matters and client relationships

Strong organizational, communication, and case management skills

Superior academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school preferred

Admission to the California State Bar, or ability to become admitted promptly
