Our client, a respected and growing engineering firm in the Kansas City Metro area, is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer (EIT) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from licensed professionals, and work on a variety of transportation and site development projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, design, and preparation of construction documents for civil engineering projects
- Support roadway, highway, transportation, and site development projects
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop project plans
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and clients
- Assist with agency coordination and regulatory requirements
- Participate in site visits, field inspections, and construction observation
- Support projects from initial design through construction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
- 0–5 years of civil engineering experience
- Experience or interest in transportation, roadway, municipal, or site development projects
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Desire to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
