Our client, a respected and growing engineering firm in the Kansas City Metro area, is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer (EIT) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from licensed professionals, and work on a variety of transportation and site development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, design, and preparation of construction documents for civil engineering projects
  • Support roadway, highway, transportation, and site development projects
  • Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop project plans
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and clients
  • Assist with agency coordination and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in site visits, field inspections, and construction observation
  • Support projects from initial design through construction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • 0–5 years of civil engineering experience
  • Experience or interest in transportation, roadway, municipal, or site development projects
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
