Labor & Employment Attorney Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join their San Jose team. The ideal candidate has experience counseling clients and litigating California employment matters, including wage and hour, class action, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination cases.

The attorney will also advise clients on employment compliance, workplace policies, administrative matters, and pre-litigation disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients on a variety of California labor and employment matters

  • Litigate wage and hour, class action, discrimination, and wrongful termination cases

  • Handle administrative charges and employment-related disputes

  • Advise clients regarding wage and hour laws, leave requirements, and workplace compliance

  • Provide guidance on FMLA, ADA, wage and hour, and other employment regulations

  • Assist with workplace policy development and compliance training

  • Manage pre-litigation employment disputes

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties

Qualifications

  • Current member of the State Bar of California and in good standing

  • Experience counseling clients and litigating California employment matters

  • Familiarity with wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, leave requirements, and employment compliance

  • Strong academic background and proven track record of performance

  • Exceptional communication, analytical, research, and writing skills

  • Strong case-management and advocacy skills
