Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Journeyman Tool and Die Maker to join our team and focus on new tool builds. In this role, you’ll be responsible for constructing and assembling high-precision dies used in the production of new products. You’ll work from blueprints and technical drawings, using a variety of metals and machining equipment to create custom tooling solutions.

Responsibilities:

·       Interpret engineering drawings and CAD files to design and build new tools and dies.

·       Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, and other machines to fabricate precision components.

·       Assemble, test, and adjust tooling to meet performance and quality requirements.

·       Diagnose and resolve issues with tool performance, making modifications as needed.

·       Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure tooling meets specifications and timelines.

·       Perform detailed inspections to ensure all tooling meets quality and safety standards.

·       Maintain accurate documentation of tooling builds, revisions, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

·       Prior experience as a Tool and Die Maker, with emphasis on new builds.

·       Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

·       Proficiency with machining processes and equipment.

·       Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks experience preferred).

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.

·       Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

·       Certification in tool and die making is a plus.
