Audit Manager - Commercial

Location: Washington, DC

Overview

A leading national advisory, tax and assurance firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager for its commercial services sector in Washington, DC. You will deliver industry-focused audit and assurance services to middle-market clients, work side-by-side with firm leadership and mentor a talented team.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients year-round to understand business goals and challenges
• Implement testing to assess internal control deficiencies and recommend improvements
• Manage all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery
• Provide financial statement guidance and business recommendations based on testing performed
• Assist with engagement staffing, billings and collections and help meet profitability targets
• Network and build strong relationships internally and externally, and support team members’ development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; master's or advanced degree desired
• CPA required
• 5+ years of financial statement audit experience in a professional services firm
• 2+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling
