Insurance Defense Attorney | Fort Lauderdale, FL (In-Office | Hybrid Potential)

A well-established and growing Florida litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Fort Lauderdale office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator who enjoys handling a busy caseload and is looking to grow within a strong, team-oriented environment.

The practice focuses on insurance defense matters, including bodily injury and general liability cases, offering hands-on experience and meaningful responsibility.

What You’ll Do

• Handle a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and manage all aspects of litigation
• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Assist with trial preparation and attend trial as needed
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability and damages

What We’re Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
• 2+ years of litigation experience (insurance defense preferred)
• Trial experience or strong interest in gaining trial exposure is a plus
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
