Asphalt Plant Operator

Location: Jackson, MS

Join a leading asphalt production company in Mississippi with multiple hot mix plants, serving state highways, government, and private clients. 

Role Overview

As an Asphalt Plant Operator, you’ll be a key contributor to the daily operation and quality output of the plant. You’ll use computerized controls to monitor production, maintain mix integrity, and ensure safe, compliant operations from start to finish .

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant control systems to produce asphalt mixtures per project specifications
• Load and direct asphalt onto haul trucks accurately
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Collaborate on quality control and mix testing
• Keep logs and assist with ordering materials and supplies
• Support safety compliance and training coordination

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1–3 years of asphalt plant operating or related experience preferred
• Familiarity with batch or drum plant processes and mix design control systems
• Strong safety awareness and ability to perform moderate physical work
• Basic computer skills (e.g. Excel, digital logs)
