Operations Manager – Industrial Manufacturing
Hiring an Operations Manager to lead daily operations within a custom fabrication, controls, and systems manufacturing environment. This role will oversee production, quality, scheduling, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring projects are completed on time and to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day plant operations including fabrication, assembly, controls, testing, paint, and shipping
- Lead production teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals
- Oversee production scheduling, staffing, workflow, and operational efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and industry regulations
- Work closely with engineering, project management, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to support project execution
- Monitor KPIs, production metrics, and plant performance
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Support employee development, accountability, and team leadership
- Maintain equipment, facility operations, and production readiness
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in lean manufacturing and operations
- Background in industrial manufacturing, fabrication, controls, HVAC, pumping systems, or custom equipment manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, assembly, and production processes
- Experience managing production schedules, quality systems, and manufacturing teams
- Understanding of electrical controls, automation, or mechanical systems preferred
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or 5S initiatives
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
