Job Description

Seeking a Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, testing, and startup of industrial control systems and automated equipment packages. This role will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and field teams to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and program control systems for industrial and HVAC equipment packages
• Develop PLC and HMI programs using platforms such as Allen Bradley, TRANE, JCI, and ALC
• Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control documentation
• Test and troubleshoot control panels, VFDs, sensors, and system components prior to shipment
• Support equipment startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting when needed
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules
• Prepare startup reports, operational documentation, and control manuals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
• Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial controls systems
• Proficient with Allen Bradley and other building automation/control platforms
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring, control panels, UL standards, and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience with CAD software and electrical drawings
