Job Title: Trust & Estate Paralegal (Filing 706/709 & Probate Experience Required)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estate Paralegal with a strong background in probate and estate administration, including filing IRS Forms 706 and 709. The ideal paralegal will have excellent organizational skills and experience working on trust and estate matters for high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with trust and estate administration, including asset inventory and distributions.
  • Prepare and file IRS Forms 706 (Estate Tax Return) and 709 (Gift Tax Return).
  • Draft and review trust and estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Manage probate filings, including petitions, inventories, and accountings.
  • Communicate with executors, trustees, beneficiaries, and court officials regarding probate and trust and estate matters.
  • Conduct research related to trust and estate law, tax implications, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a paralegal in trust and estate law and probate.
  • Strong knowledge of probate procedures and estate tax filings.
  • Experience with 706 and 709 estate and gift tax returns preferred.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal software and document management systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with great attention to detail.
