Job Description

An excellent Law Firm is adding an Escrow Accountant to their team. This stable and growing firm offers a friendly atmosphere and the option to work a hybrid schedule after training. 

Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for an Escrow Accountant to join a team of highly motivated staff.

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

* Manage, reconcile, and record financial transactions within escrow accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations.

* Validate deposits/disbursements, and resolve discrepancies.

* Protect fiduciary funds, maintain accurate ledgers, and facilitate smooth transfer of funds, primarily for real estate or business transactions.

* Assist in funding / closing.

* Assist with paying bills and accounting.

*  Meet deadlines.

·* Assist with online banking. 

  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Daily bank reconciliation, managing general ledgers, and generating detailed financial reports.
  • Transaction Processing: Initiating, validating, and recording ACH and wire transfers, as well as preparing checks.
  • Account Maintenance: Managing escrow deposits and disbursements, validating funds, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigating and resolving balance discrepancies, following up on outstanding checks, and handling escheatment

Professional Requirements:

· 3 + years of recent work experience in accounting or an as escrow accountant. 

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or work equivalent.

· Familiar with Sage 50 and ProTrust software.  

· Strong technical skills.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
