Tax Supervisor

Location: Atlanta, GA

Overview

A fast-growing national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a generalist Tax Supervisor in Atlanta (hybrid). You will work closely with partners, managers, staff and clients to plan, supervise, review and complete client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal, state and international returns for individuals, corporations and partnerships
• Research complex tax issues and provide well-supported recommendations
• Assist with responses to tax authority inquiries and correspondence
• Help set engagement direction and monitor budgets
• Participate in client meetings and presentations
• Supervise, train and review the work of associates and senior associates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting
• Active CPA license or actively pursuing
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience in individual, corporate and pass-through taxation
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office
• Ability to develop tax planning strategies for clients
