Tax Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA

Overview

An established Atlanta CPA firm offering flexibility and balance is seeking a Tax Manager with comprehensive tax compliance and strategy experience. You will advise clients on a full spectrum of individual, partnership, corporate and trust and estate tax services and help develop and strengthen client relationships. Hybrid or in-person schedules are available.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple client engagements and review work to ensure quality control procedures are followed
• Keep partners informed of engagement progress and resolve technical and scheduling issues
• Discuss technical issues with clients and respond to their needs
• Hold direct client billing responsibility
• Complete performance reviews and support staff development
• Network actively and build visibility within an industry specialization
• Stay current on technical and regulatory issues

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of public accounting or related experience
• Active CPA license
• Proficiency in business taxation (C and S corporations, partnerships) and individual taxation and planning
• Experience with planning strategies for businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Experience with multi-state and consolidated returns
• Experience supervising and training staff and seniors preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master of Tax preferred
