Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside Senior PMs and Superintendents on diverse commercial projects—ranging from ground-up builds to complex renovations. This is not an entry-level position; the ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the field or office and is ready to contribute meaningfully from day one while continuing to develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordination, and management of commercial construction projects
  • Support document control including submittals, RFIs, and project correspondence
  • Help with estimating, bid solicitation, and buyout as needed
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and change orders
  • Participate in subcontractor coordination, site meetings, and quality control
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment
  • Provide reliable support to Project Managers and Superintendents on all active jobs

Preferred Project Experience

  • Commercial construction experience
  • Exposure to higher education, hospitality, institutional, or diverse commercial projects
  • Experience with projects ranging from $1M–$20M (experience with larger is a plus)
  • Ground-up construction experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of experience as a Junior Project Manager, Project Engineer, or APM
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
  • Familiarity with construction software such as Procore or Bluebeam is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required if experience is strong

What’s Offered

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Full benefits including medical insurance, 401(k), and growth-based bonuses
  • Opportunity to grow into a full Project Manager role within a supportive environment
  • Exposure to complex and rewarding commercial work across multiple sectors
