Drywall Project Manager/Estimator in Des Moines

Job Description

Position Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a specialty in drywall, paint, framing, and grid/acoustical ceilings to lead construction projects from start to finish. This role requires hands-on management of the entire project lifecycle, including coordination with owners, field staff, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full lifecycle of drywall, paint, framing, and acoustical ceiling scopes from estimating support to punch and closeout
• Oversee all aspects of project delivery: budgeting, scheduling, buyouts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and final turnover
• Lead OAC meetings, internal coordination meetings, and on-site progress checks
• Interface with owners, architects, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors regularly
• Ensure project compliance with quality standards, contract requirements, and safety regulations
• Coordinate field crews and subs to maintain production schedules and address issues proactively
• Deliver successful outcomes across large multifamily, commercial TI, mixed-use, and single-family residential jobs

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience, preferably with a focus on interior scopes including drywall, framing, paint, and ceilings
• Strong track record of managing projects from $1M to $50M+
• Proficient in Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, Excel, and other construction management tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, documentation, field coordination, and subcontractor performance
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
