Project Manager – Steel Fabrication / Manufacturing Job

A long-established leader in the steel and metals industry is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team. This company has built a strong reputation for quality,

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial projects and enjoys managing work from kickoff through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initial planning through production, delivery, and completion.
  • Coordinate project requirements between customers, engineering, estimating, purchasing, production, and quality.
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, purchase orders, and project documentation.
  • Track schedules, materials, costs, milestones, and potential project risks.
  • Communicate with customers regarding project status, changes, deadlines, and delivery expectations.
  • Manage change orders, scope changes, and project documentation.
  • Identify issues early and work with internal teams to develop practical solutions.
  • Help ensure projects meet quality, safety, cost, schedule, and customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Project management experience in steel fabrication, metal fabrication, manufacturing, construction, heavy industrial equipment, structural steel, or a related industry.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating with engineering, production, purchasing, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Heavy industrial manufacturing
  • Welding or fabricated assemblies
  • Estimating, scheduling, procurement, or change-order management
