Job Description

A local bank in Decorah is hiring an Ag Lender to work with dairy, beef, and row-crop producers throughout Winneshiek County and northeast Iowa. The role owns the full lending cycle, from prospecting and underwriting through closing and ongoing servicing.

Responsibilities:

• Grow the ag book by calling on farm families and agribusinesses in the area
• Analyze balance sheets, income statements, and repayment capacity
• Prepare credit presentations for operating, dairy, equipment, and real estate loans
• Visit operations for inspections and complete yearly renewals
• Introduce deposit, cash management, and other bank services to ag clients
• Keep an eye on milk prices, commodity markets, and input costs

Qualifications:

• Degree in Agriculture, Ag Business, or Finance preferred
• Ag lending or ag credit experience at a bank or farm credit lender
• Familiarity with FSA loan guarantee programs is a plus
• Strong communicator who listens well to producers
• Detail-oriented and able to juggle several requests at once
