Job Description

A local bank in Hampton is hiring an Ag Lender to serve grain and livestock operations throughout Franklin County and north central Iowa. You'll handle the full process, from prospecting and underwriting to closing and ongoing servicing.

Responsibilities:

• Call on producers and ag businesses to grow a sound farm loan portfolio
• Analyze financial statements and repayment capacity for each request
• Prepare operating, equipment, livestock, and farm real estate loans
• Visit operations for inspections and yearly reviews
• Introduce checking, savings, and other bank products to farm clients
• Keep up with commodity markets, input costs, and local crop conditions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Agriculture, Ag Economics, or Finance preferred
• Two or more years in ag lending or ag credit analysis
• Working knowledge of FSA loan programs a plus
• Farm or rural background preferred
• Clear communicator with good judgment
