We are representing a highly specialized and distinguished litigation boutique in Idaho Falls seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their elite defense team. This is not a "high-volume/low-value" insurance mill; rather, it is an opportunity to engage in complex, high-stakes litigation representing public entities and private insurers in matters that often shape local and state law.

Key Responsibilities
Specialized Defense: Focus on a diverse portfolio of insurance defense, with a significant emphasis on defending public entities and navigating complex civil rights claims.
Trial & Appellate Practice: Manage cases through all phases of trial court litigation. Uniquely, this role also involves significant appellate work, providing the opportunity to draft briefs and present arguments before the Idaho Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
Complex Advocacy: Craft highly persuasive legal arguments, motions, and briefs for high-profile defense cases that require creative and thorough legal positioning.
Collaborative Strategy: Work within a motivated, tight-knit team of experienced partners to achieve exceptional outcomes for both public and private sector clients.
Qualifications
Experience: Open to varying levels of experience, though a strong background in civil litigation or a judicial clerkship is highly preferred.
Bar Admission: Active member in good standing of the Idaho State Bar (or eligible for immediate reciprocity).
Skill Set: Exceptional research and writing skills are non-negotiable. You must be able to distill complex legal concepts into winning arguments.
Professionalism: A high level of integrity and the ability to represent public officials and entities with the utmost professionalism.

Base Salary: Highly competitive base salary starting at $100,000+ (commensurate with experience).
