Superintendent – Heavy Civil / WWTP

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on heavy civil and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects. This role is responsible for driving day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong field experience and the ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
• Manage field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications
• Develop and maintain short-term schedules and lookahead plans
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to keep projects on track
• Monitor productivity, identify issues, and implement solutions in real time
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies
• Conduct daily reports, site meetings, and progress updates
• Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project requirements

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of field experience in heavy civil construction, with exposure to WWTP or water/wastewater projects
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors on complex infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling
• Experience with concrete, earthwork, utilities, and structural components typical of civil/WWTP work
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety
