We are seeking a skilled Road Service Technician to join a growing service team supporting waste and recycling equipment customers. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys working independently, troubleshooting equipment in the field, and providing exceptional customer service.
You'll travel to customer locations to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain refuse collection equipment, compactors, balers, roll-off hoists, hook lifts, and related hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
Troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools and service manuals.
Repair compactors, balers, roll-off systems, hook lifts, and refuse truck equipment.
Complete warranty repairs and detailed service documentation.
Communicate repair recommendations and equipment status with customers.
Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and inventory.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
Participate in after-hours or emergency service calls as needed.
3+ years of experience repairing heavy equipment, refuse trucks, vocational trucks, or hydraulic equipment.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
CDL or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
