HVAC Estimator

A well-established commercial and industrial mechanical contractor in the Chicagoland market is looking to add an HVAC Estimator to their team.

This is not a churn-and-burn shop. They have a strong pipeline of negotiated and repeat work, long-standing client relationships, and a reputation for delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build accurate and competitive HVAC estimates for plan and spec and design build projects
• Perform detailed takeoffs from drawings and specifications
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
• Work directly with vendors and subcontractors to level pricing
• Assist with conceptual budgets during early project phases
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership on bid strategy
• Support project turnover to operations once awarded

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of mechanical or HVAC estimating experience
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping, and sheet metal
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with Bluebeam, Trimble, or similar tools
• Someone who can manage multiple bids without losing attention to detail
