JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Estimator

As a Manufacturing Estimator, you'll play a key role in supporting new business by developing accurate cost estimates, evaluating manufacturing methods, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to deliver competitive, high-quality solutions.
What You'll Do
- Review customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate manufacturing estimates
- Analyze material, labor, tooling, and production costs
- Prepare customer quotations and support RFQ activities
- Partner with engineering and operations to determine manufacturing feasibility and recommend cost-effective processes
- Support prototype and new product quoting
- Research material pricing and outside processing costs
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce production costs
- Maintain estimating data, pricing, and documentation
- Communicate technical information with engineering, production, sales, and customers
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing estimating, quoting, engineering support, production planning, or a related technical role
- Experience in a precision manufacturing or custom manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, and production methods
- Experience developing cost estimates for material, labor, tooling, and manufacturing operations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wire forming, springs, metal stamping, machining, fabrication, or other precision metal manufacturing processes
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems (Global Shop experience is a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software
