Job Description

Are you a Legal Assistant with experience in U.S. immigration law? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm in Indiana, seeking a highly organized and motivated professional to join their legal team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of various procedures. We’re seeking a fluent English/Spanish speaker with a minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience handling immigration cases. You’ll play a key role in preparing petitions, managing case files, and supporting clients throughout the legal process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file immigration applications and petitions, including I-130s, AOS, U and T Visas, and consular processing

  • Communicate professionally with clients in both English and Spanish

  • Maintain accurate and organized case files (digital and physical)

  • Track case progress, deadlines, and follow up with USCIS and NVC

  • Support intake, client screenings, and scheduling consultations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)

  • 1–2+ years of experience with U.S. immigration law cases

  • Familiarity with immigration processes, forms, and agency communications

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with legal software preferred

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced setting
