Sanitation Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Food Manufacturing | $70,000–$90,000 + Benefits

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift sanitation operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about food safety, employee development, and operational excellence.

The Sanitation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the facility maintains the highest standards of food safety, employee safety, and sanitation compliance. This position leads the sanitation team while working closely with production, quality, and plant leadership to support daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop the sanitation team while promoting a positive and accountable work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, GMP, OSHA, and company standards.
• Provide leadership regarding safe chemical handling, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and other safety protocols.
• Conduct daily inspections and audits to verify plant cleanliness and sanitation effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and work collaboratively with plant leadership to solve operational challenges.
• Develop and maintain sanitation procedures, training programs, and standard work practices.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to improve performance and support employee growth.
• Manage sanitation inventories, supplies, and chemical usage while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety standards, and employee safety requirements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required.
