Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator to lead mechanical construction projects from initial bid to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed proposals, and managing project schedules to ensure timely delivery. Your expertise in construction estimating, project management, and coordination will drive successful project outcomes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare comprehensive construction estimates using industry-standard software such as Quotesoft and Bluebeam ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Review project plans, blueprints, schematics, and contracts to develop detailed scopes of work and cost analyses.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather quotes, negotiate terms, and refine project budgets.
- Develop and maintain project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 to ensure deadlines are met.
- Oversee project planning activities including resource allocation, timeline development, and risk assessment for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Monitor project progress on-site and in the office, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Facilitate clear communication among all stakeholders through regular updates, meetings, and documentation to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the mechanical (plumbing, piping, HVAC) construction industry.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site operations.
- Familiarity with contracts, change orders, and legal aspects of construction projects.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Understanding of safety regulations.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with clients and vendors.
- Ability to utilize construction scheduling techniques for efficient project execution.
