Job Description

A steel fabricator serving Newport, KY needs a Steel Estimator who can produce sharp, complete bids for fabricated and erected structural steel.

You'll handle:

• Solicit and evaluate quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs
• Build complete estimates covering material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals
• Work with project managers and steel erectors on constructability and sequencing

Background:

• Strong blueprint reading skills
• 5+ years estimating structural steel
• Experience with estimating software such as Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar
