Job Title: Fire Suppression Technician
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and certified Fire Suppression Technician to join our team. The Fire Suppression Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire suppression systems, including fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and other fire safety equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and provide exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform routine and emergency repairs on fire suppression equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and complete detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to clients on proper use and maintenance of fire safety systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in fire suppression systems preferred.
- State or national certification as a Fire Suppression Technician.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fire suppression system installation, inspection, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations (e.g., NFPA standards).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, climb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
