About the Opportunity
An established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team in Grand Rapids, MI.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who enjoys project variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants the autonomy to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Responsibilities
Independently manage multiple commercial construction projects, typically valued at $3M–$8M.
Lead estimating, bid solicitation, subcontractor buyout, and procurement.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost controls, and profitability.
Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, vendors, and clients.
Manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
Resolve project challenges while maintaining quality, safety, and financial objectives.
Maintain strong client relationships and clear project communication.
Qualifications
5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong estimating, preconstruction, bidding, and buyout experience required.
Experience with commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, offices, education, franchise construction, or similar sectors.
Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Project.
Strong financial management, communication, and organizational skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
