Responsibilities:
- Estimate the cost of construction projects, specializing in septic systems, residential, and ground-up foundations.
- Leave no stone unturned when it comes to attention to detail, ensuring accurate and comprehensive project assessments.
- Collaborate with homeowners, home builders, and engineers to understand project requirements and goals.
- Prepare detailed and competitive bids, showcasing your expertise in construction estimating.
- Work closely with material suppliers and excavating professionals to gather accurate pricing information.
- Analyze project plans and blueprints to determine accurate quantities of materials and labor required.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, ensuring our estimates align with current market rates.
- Provide support to project managers and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction estimating.
- Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, enabling you to accurately assess project costs.
- Strong knowledge of home building processes, including excavation/utility work and structural reinforcement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to effectively collaborate with customers, engineers, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in using construction estimation software and tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring no aspect of a project is overlooked.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- A passion for delivering outstanding results and exceeding customer expectations.
