Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector needs a Business Development Manager to expand its footprint on Midwest jobs of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time position at $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, including Midwest travel.

What you will do

• Develop new steel erection leads with GCs, developers, and owners across Midwest markets
• Drive go/no-go and pursuit strategy on structural packages exceeding 5,000 tons
• Keep a living view of market timing, competitors, and bid opportunities
• Present an AISC-certified Michigan erector at jobsite visits, events, and client reviews
• Cover Midwest travel to close relationships and move pursuits forward

What you bring

• Sales or BD experience tied to steel erection, structural steel, or heavy civil/construction
• Track record competing for large Midwest tonnage packages
• Preferred network among general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Availability for Midwest travel
• Clear written and verbal skills plus a results-oriented closing style
