Job Description

Join an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector as a Business Development Manager focused on large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time role offering $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Identify and chase steel erection opportunities with general contractors and owners throughout the Midwest
• Own pursuit plans for major structural steel packages on jobs of 5,000+ tons
• Track competitor activity, bid calendars, and upcoming project pipelines
• Serve as the face of an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and industry forums
• Travel the Midwest to progress pursuits and strengthen long-term client ties

Qualifications

• Proven business development or sales background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Confidence pursuing and winning large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Existing relationships with GCs, fabricators, or owners a plus
• Ready and able to travel throughout the Midwest
• Strong communicator with a history of converting pipelines into awards
