Associate – Municipal & Litigation Defense

A well-established litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its sophisticated litigation practice representing businesses, governmental entities, educational institutions, and insurers in complex legal matters.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of litigation matters, including municipal law, employment-related disputes, civil rights matters, and personal injury defense litigation. Responsibilities will include trial and appellate litigation, legal research and writing, discovery management, contract drafting, and direct client counseling.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 4+ years of litigation experience
  • Active licensure in both Kansas and Missouri
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities
  • Experience handling discovery and litigation-related case management
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Solid academic credentials

Experience with municipal law and contract drafting is strongly preferred.
