Finance & Accounting Manager
A growing manufacturing organization is looking for a hands-on Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and provide leadership with the financial information needed to make sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the accounting function, including general ledger, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
- Own the month-end close process and prepare accurate financial reporting for management.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, margins, variances, and operating results to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with operations and leadership to evaluate performance, profitability, KPIs, and business decisions.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accounting practices comply with GAAP and applicable requirements.
- Oversee banking activities, cash management, and other financial transactions.
- Identify ways to improve accounting processes, reporting, systems, and overall efficiency.
- Lead and develop accounting personnel while working closely with other departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance with a CPA preference.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to understand both financial and operational aspects of a manufacturing environment.
