Steel Fabrication Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee steel fabrication projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in miscellaneous metals fabrication, although candidates with solid experience in other areas of structural or steel fabrication will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Manage steel fabrication projects from start to finish
- Coordinate with customers, engineers, detailers, fabrication teams, and field personnel
- Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Track project budgets, schedules, materials, and overall progress
- Communicate with customers and address project needs or issues
- Coordinate fabrication and delivery schedules
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Identify and resolve project challenges throughout the process
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience within steel fabrication
- Miscellaneous metals fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Candidates with structural steel, ornamental metals, architectural metals, or other steel fabrication experience will also be considered
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and project plans
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
