Our client, a well-established financial institution, is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to lead growth in the Harrison County market. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated commercial banker with an established portfolio and strong business relationships to build a market with the backing of a respected bank.
Working from a Loan Production Office (LPO), you'll have the autonomy to grow your commercial portfolio, develop new business, and become the face of the bank in the community. As the market expands, this role offers a clear path to Market President once a full-service branch is established.
To support your success, you may bring your own experienced Loan Assistant, or the bank will hire one for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a commercial lending portfolio through business development and relationship management.
- Generate new commercial loans while expanding deposit relationships and cross-selling treasury management and other banking services.
- Analyze financial statements, assess credit risk, and structure commercial loan solutions.
- Prepare and present loan requests in accordance with bank policies.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to commercial clients.
- Represent the bank through networking, community involvement, and business development.
- Partner with credit, underwriting, and operations to ensure an exceptional client experience.
- Help establish and grow the market with the opportunity to advance into a Market President role.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial lending experience in the local market.
- Active commercial loan portfolio and established referral network.
- Proven success in business development and relationship management.
- Strong commercial credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring skills.
- Experience with C&I, Commercial Real Estate, and Owner-Occupied lending preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
