Position Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other case-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Prepare witnesses and experts for depositions and trial.
- Collaborate with partners on trial preparation and courtroom strategy.
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (or pending admission if eligible).
- 2–6+ years of litigation experience preferred.
- Insurance defense or civil litigation experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong oral advocacy and client communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
