Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join one of our client firms. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 2–6 years of litigation experience who is looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced practice. The role offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and the ability to manage cases through all stages of litigation.

Job Description

The civil litigation position offers a wide range of challenging litigation work, manages various phases of litigation for assigned cases, all phases of discovery, appears before state and federal courts, performs legal research, drafts pleadings, motions and briefs, conducts depositions, develops facts, makes legal arguments, reports case updates to managing attorney and clients in defense of clients.  

Qualifications

• NC licensed civil litigation attorney with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Candidates should have experience defending civil litigation claims with preference given for handling matters in the areas of construction litigation, products liability, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation.
• Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Trial preparation experience is a plus
