Preconstruction Manager | Commercial Construction
A well-established commercial General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Preconstruction Manager to its growing team. This is an opportunity to take a key role in projects from the earliest stages while working alongside clients, architects, subcontractors, and project teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead preconstruction efforts from initial plans through contract award
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive scopes
- Prepare detailed estimates, take-offs, budgets, and project schedules
- Develop bid packages and solicit qualified subcontractors
- Build and maintain strong subcontractor relationships
- Analyze bids, identify scope gaps, and evaluate value-engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, PMs, and field teams to develop successful project strategies
What We're Looking For
- 8–10+ years of commercial construction experience
- Strong preconstruction, estimating, or project management background
- Proven experience with estimating, take-offs, budgeting, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction
- Proficiency with construction/estimating software
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
