Strategic Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, support sales growth, and enhance customer engagement. This role serves as a key partner to the Sales team, developing campaigns, tools, and resources that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong execution skills and has experience leveraging market insights, customer data, and brand leadership to achieve measurable business results.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with company growth objectives and sales priorities.

  • Lead market positioning efforts and strengthen competitive differentiation.

  • Create customer segmentation strategies and improve the customer journey across key touchpoints.

  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.

  • Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure marketing performance and ROI.

  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing priorities with business goals.

Sales Support & Customer Engagement

  • Partner with Sales to develop campaigns, tools, and resources that support customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

  • Create sales enablement materials, presentations, campaign assets, and customer-facing content.

  • Implement programs that strengthen customer loyalty and engagement.

  • Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and planning sessions to gather market insights.

Brand & Campaign Leadership

  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, email, social media, video, and events.

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all customer-facing communications.

  • Oversee content strategy, storytelling, newsletters, customer success stories, photography, video, and social media.

  • Align campaigns with customer needs and business objectives.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

  • Oversee website strategy, digital content, and online engagement efforts.

  • Utilize analytics tools and marketing technology to monitor and optimize performance.

  • Translate customer and market insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Develop data-driven strategies that improve engagement and marketing effectiveness.

Team & Budget Management

  • Lead and develop marketing team members while fostering collaboration and accountability.

  • Manage the annual marketing budget and ensure efficient use of resources.

  • Oversee external agencies, vendors, and marketing partners.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.

Events & Industry Engagement

  • Provide oversight for trade shows, customer events, industry conferences, and field marketing activities.

  • Build relationships with customers, partners, industry organizations, and media contacts.

  • Ensure events support brand awareness and business growth objectives.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience.

  • Proven success developing marketing programs that drive measurable business growth.

  • Experience supporting sales teams through strategic marketing and sales enablement.

  • Strong background in marketing analytics, customer insights, and ROI measurement.

Preferred

  • Experience leading brand strategy, creative development, and content marketing initiatives.

  • Graphic design experience is a plus.

  • Agricultural or agribusiness industry experience preferred.
