Civil Professional Engineer (PE) Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Civil Professional Engineer (PE) to join our growing civil engineering division of our multi-disciplinary firm. The successful candidate will lead the design and management of land development and infrastructure projects, mentor junior staff, and serve as a client liaison. This is a key role with direct involvement in design strategy, permitting, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil/site design projects from concept through construction.
- Prepare and review site plans, grading plans, stormwater management systems, utility layouts, and erosion control designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Oversee and participate in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and permit applications.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams across disciplines.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
- Support business development through client relationship building and proposal assistance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s a plus).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Nebraska or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 5–10 years of experience in civil/site development, including permitting and design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; additional software experience (HydroCAD, StormCAD, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., MassDEP, Conservation Commissions).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage teams effectively.
