Job Summary

We are partnering with a growing heavy civil contractor seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support excavation, grading, underground utility, and site development projects. This role is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety on the jobsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, rollers, and other heavy equipment.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling operations.
• Work closely with crews to install underground utilities and complete sitework.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards while maintaining a clean and efficient jobsite.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with excavation, earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and site development.
• Ability to read grade stakes and work around underground utilities.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
